It is used all over the world as a material that can withstand heavy loads and has high strength as an alternative to wood, steel, aluminum, and plastic in boxes and pallets for packaging heavy items.
This material was created in the United States in the 1950s and has been used as a packaging material in place of wooden boxes. It is an excellent product that can pack heavy and delicate items such as precision mechanical parts such as engines and semiconductors, as well as liquids and powders.
In addition, it is made from unbleached natural materials, and is recognized as a material that does not pose a problem even if it comes into contact with food, making it a pure and solid material.

This project began with the president of our company and general manager K of JR Tokai Shoji Co., Ltd. learning that they were both working on new initiatives and wanting to work on sustainable initiatives together .
ACE LUGGAGE was about to start manufacturing and selling products using a new sustainable material, "muscle-CARDBOARD", and we decided to work on together like "Let's do it!". We have developed an eco-friendly product by combining waste materials from the Tokaido Shinkansen and sustainable materials .
Railways are an environmentally friendly means of transportation , emitting less CO2 than cars or airplanes . Utilizing waste materials from Shinkansen bodies and equipment that have finished their service, we are adding even more kindness through sustainable initiatives .
The Shinkansen is being scrapped and dismantled, with regret due to the cumulative mileage and the birth of a new Shinkansen. We use that scrap material to create upcycled items and breathe new life into them.
As people who are both involved in travel-related businesses, we think about the future of the earth in order to protect travel. It was such a wonderful opportunity.
